Process
There are four steps in Social Media Marketing. We call them the four C’s.
1. Control
The first step involves taking control of all idle media that was either created in the past or automatically by networks. This would include Facebook Pages, Google Place Pages, Twitter Accounts, and pages in review-type websites. Any unnecessary media will be deleted or removed.
2. Creation
Next, an evaluation of what is needed will take place to accompany the newly acquired media. This includes creating Facebook Pages, Twitter Accounts, Place pages, aggregate websites, and adding keyword content to the main website for better search engine optimization.
3. Calibration
At this point, all the necessary media is created or under control. Creative work will be done for profile pictures, landing pages, and the general aesthetic look of all media. Additionally, everything will be updated with current business information for easy navigation by customers.
4. Campaign
The final step is utilizing everything done so far. It takes more than just having media to gain customers. Media that allows statuses will be updated frequently, Google Adwords will be created to debut new branding, and other campaigns will be run to attract customers. The ultimate goal being to educate, inform, and remind customers about the business’ activities.
